What is a static test? Why must an aircraft undergo a static test?

What items are included in the static test?

"The first flight of the newly developed aircraft is full of unpredictable conditions. To ensure that the first flight is foolproof, it is necessary to accurately simulate the extreme conditions of the aircraft in the air, complete the pressurization of the pressurized cabin, the front start connection, the main start connection, the whole aircraft situation, A series of static tests such as vertical tail and rudder. The person in charge of aviation industry Xi'an civil aircraft said that the successful delivery of the "Xinzhou" 700 static testing machine marked that the project's whole machine key test was about to start in full swing. At present, the project has embarked on the preparation of the whole machine static test.

Corresponding to the C919 mainline aircraft, the "Xinzhou" 700 aircraft is the representative product of the "turboprop regional aircraft" in the development strategy of China's "two mains and two branches" civil aircraft. It is positioned in the short-distance regional transportation market within 800 kilometers. Up to 637 kilometers, it is suitable for flying in high temperature and plateau, short runway and complex environment. At present, 285 orders have been signed with 11 users.

Since May 2019, the research team has carried out comprehensive research on the static test machine assembly, and has completed the key tasks of front fuselage, mid-rear fuselage docking, and wing body docking. The new coronary pneumonia epidemic has greatly hindered the development of the static testing machine that is about to end. The installation of vertical and horizontal tail, etc., and the completion of the whole machine marking and strain patch work at the same time, ensure the delivery node of the static test machine.

It is reported that the 10001th aircraft of Xinzhou 700 is scheduled to make its first flight this year. On March 23rd, the 10001th aircraft manufacturer began a compliance review.
